What is Cosplay?

The Japanese term, Kosupure, anglicized as Cosplay, is a portmanteau of the English words costume play. Cosplay is a performance art in which the participants dress in costumes and make-up, representing characters from anime, video games, television and film. In addition to creating authentic costumes, the cosplayers also act in character and are usually subject matter experts on the characters they are replicating. It lets us show our love for our favourite anime, games or TV, and also lets us express ourselves. Some people may have a type of cosplay that they find most comfortable or the most freeing, and sometimes that leads us to being able to explore our own sexualities or gender identities.

You can recreate scenes, place it on your desk, shelve it, take it to meet-ups, and draw it. You can also be your favorite anime character and act like them. With so many different things to do, you can pose and play with it as you like! And enjoy the feeling of owning anf filling your empty space with all the amazing characters. But for maintenance, try to keep the original box in mint condition, if possible. This will be a massive help when it comes to valuing the figure in the future. As a rule, figures stay in the best condition when kept away from direct sunlight and in relatively dry rooms.
